The objective of the Loan Department at Bankers' Bank of the West is to provide timely credit to banks, bankers, bank directors, and bank holding companies.

We offer a broad spectrum of products:

• Loans to Officers and Directors of Independant Banks
• Federal Funds Lines of Credit
• Liquidity Participations

• Bank Stock Loans
• Over line Participations
• Bank Building Financing

Because we do not solicit loan business directly from the commercial or retail customer, the majority of our loans come from loan participations These participations consist of residential construction loans, bank stock loans, ESOP loans, agricultural operating and equipment loans, construction loans, general commercial business loans, municipal loans, and leases.

Our lending staff is experienced, thorough and highly responsive. BBW’s lending officers, credit analysts and loan operations specialists work as a team to provide expert guidance and ongoing support for our community bank customers.

Dale Utley, Senior Vice President, is head of our loan and leasing departments and the chair of the Bankers' Bank Loan Committee. With more than 33 years of experience in commercial lending and leasing, Dale has handled all types of loans. He is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Dale holds an MBA in finance and marketing from Eastern Michigan University.

Dallas Kiburz, Senior Vice President and manager of the BBW office in Lincoln, has spent his 34-year career in banking with an emphasis on lending. For 16 of those years, he served as president of three community banks, an experience that gave him a deep insight into the unique needs of independent financial institutions. Dallas has called on banks throughout Nebraska and occasionally those in nearby states since joining BBW eight years ago.

John Carter, Vice President, is our calling officer for southern Colorado. John has more than 29 years of lending experience with a number of banking companies.

Jeff Benson, Vice President, is BBW’s calling officer for northern Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and western South Dakota. Jeff has seven years of banking experience.

Carl Gebhardt, Assistant Vice President, is our calling officer for Utah. Carl has three years of banking experience, all with BBW.

Jon Dittenber, Assistant Vice President, has been in banking 11 years. Before joining BBW two years ago, he worked in collections, consumer lending and commercial real estate. As a calling officer, Jon serves banks in Nebraska and eastern SouthDakota.

Scott Wintenburg, Assistant Vice President, is BBW’s calling officer for Idaho. Scott has a ten-year background in banking, leasing and financial services; he has been with BBW since 2006.
